The Ronald McDonald House Family Room, located on the third floor of Erlanger, offers a welcoming place for families who need a break without leaving the hospital. Whether you're spending the day at your child's bedside or staying through an extended hospital visit, the Family Room provides a quiet space to recharge, refresh, and take care of everyday needs.
Just steps away from patient rooms, families can take a hot shower, do a load of laundry, enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages, or simply relax for a few moments before returning to their loved one. It's designed to provide comfort, convenience, and a sense of normalcy during an incredibly difficult time.
A Place to Recharge
When every moment matters, leaving the hospital for basic necessities isn't always an option. The Ronald McDonald House Family Room helps ease some of those daily burdens by providing:
- Laundry facilities to help families stay comfortable during extended stays.
- Private showers for a chance to refresh without leaving the hospital.
- Complimentary snacks and meals available throughout the day.

Every service is offered at no cost to families.
Who Can Use the Family Room?
The Ronald McDonald House Family Room is available to anyone with an immediate family member receiving care at Erlanger, Children's Hospital, or Siskin Hospital.
To access the Family Room, guests simply need a current hospital visitor badge.
Whether your hospital stay is expected or unexpected, our goal is to provide a comforting place where families can take care of themselves so they can continue caring for the ones who matter most.

The Ronald McDonald House Family Room helps relieve some of that stress by providing a nearby place to rest, refresh, and meet everyday needs without ever leaving the hospital. By caring for families, we're helping them stay close to their child when they need each other most.
Hospitality a la Carte
Not every family can leave their loved one's side, even for a few minutes. Hospitality a la Carte brings the comfort of the Family Room directly to them.
Each weekday, volunteers take a mobile cart through Children's Hospital at Erlanger, offering coffee, snacks, books, and small toys to families in the PICU, NICU, Labor and Delivery, and the High-Risk Pregnancy Unit.
